swansea vs arsenal   Leave a comment

Arsenal were rewarded with an home tie with fellow londoners chelsea in the capital one cup as they sweat it out against west brom with the match decided by sport kick. Nicklas played his first game in an arsenal laying the assist for eisfield before hitting the post himself.
Wenger was more impressed with the performance of his youngsters and was happy and excited by the performance of his fit again captain
Arsenal have been in excellent form
on the road, but Swansea enter the
fixture on the back of three games
unbeaten in the Premier League.
Swans boss Michael Laudrup fielded a
weakened lineup against Birmingham
City during midweek, but the Dane is
likely to recall the majority of his
squad that were rested for the
Capital One Cup encounter.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is
expected to use the majority of the
team that recorded a 3-1 victory over
Stoke City last weekend.
However, the Frenchman is unlikely to
risk youngster Serge Gnabry for the
third time in the space of a week, with
Nacho Monreal potentially being
included in midfield.
Recent form
Swansea City: WDWWL
Arsenal: WWWWD
The swans have been a big challenge to the gunners in recent season with the games usually highly explosive producing quite a good performance.
I hope the pendulum of victory swing the gunners way.

west brom vs arsenal   Leave a comment

Capital one cup is here again as arsenal take a trip to hawthorns to entertain west brom.
Arsene Wenger is a very happy man at the moment with everything working out according to plan. The Frenchman has managed Arsenal
to seven consecutive victories in all competition
eroding all memory of what was
initially a disappointing defeat to Aston
Villa about a month ago.
He has masterminded this truly
remarkable run using almost the
exact same group of players during
a congested period in the schedule.
Injuries have limited his choice but
Wenger has nevertheless found a
profoundly effective blend to win games.
At long last, he will be able to give
some of his key players the rest
that they so need and deserve.
Arsenal have never won the League
Cup during
Wenger’s era at the club, largely
because of his reluctance to start
many of his key players in a
tournament that is generally
regarded as less prestigious than
other domestic competitions but are never push overs in the competition.
Despite the fact that the Gunners
have been handed a somewhat tasking fixture it is highly unlikely that
Wenger will refrain from allowing his
best players to rest their tired legs.
There still are so much of
options at the manager’s disposal,
but Arsenal are facing the Baggies
at a time when important squad
members are returning from injuries
to play their first minutes of the
season.
Thus, there can be much more
rotation than there would have been
a week or two ago. This doubly
benefits the freshly fit men
attempting to regain their former
fitness and those who have played
numerous intense minutes since the
start of the season.
Hope arsenal will be in the hat for next round draw.

Arsene Wenger can apparently do no
wrong at the moment.
The Frenchman has managed Arsenal
to seven consecutive victories,
erasing all memory of what was
initially a shattering defeat to Aston
Villa more than a month ago.
He has orchestrated this truly
remarkable run using almost the
exact same group of players during
a congested period in the schedule.
Injuries have eliminated almost all
tactical freedom, of course, but
Wenger has nevertheless found a
profoundly effective blend.
At long last, he will be able to give
some of his key players the rest
that they so need and deserve.
Arsenal have never won the League
Cup—known as the Capital One Cup
for sponsoring reasons—during
Wenger’s tenure at the club, largely
because of his reluctance to start
many of his key players in a
tournament that is generally
regarded as less prestigious than
other domestic competitions.
Despite the fact that the Gunners
have been handed a somewhat
unfavorable draw in West Brom
(when they were equally likely to be
matched with various lower-league
clubs), it is highly unlikely that
Wenger will refrain from allowing his
best players to rest their tired legs.
There still are not a plethora of
options at the manager’s disposal,
but Arsenal are facing the Baggies
at a time when important squad
members are returning from injuries
to play their first minutes of the
season.
Thus, there can be much more
rotation than there would have been
a week or two ago. This doubly
benefits the freshly fit men
attempting to regain their former
fitness and those who have played
numerous intense minutes since the
start of the season.
Let’s look at what starting XI Wenger
might put on the pitch at the
Hawthorns.
His first important choice concerns
who will start in goal, as Wojciech
Szczesny will almost certainly be
afforded a deserved breather after
playing all 720 minutes (plus
stoppage time) of the season thus
far.
There are two eminently capable
options available to replace him, and
neither are likely to remain with the
club beyond this season.
Emiliano Viviano, fresh off the plane
from Palermo, would receive
valuable experience against Premier
League opposition if he is afforded
the opportunity to start. Lukasz
Fabianski, on the other hand, ended
last season superbly, keeping
Szczesny out of the team.

wengers comment on saturday win   Leave a comment

We experienced two different halves
on Sunday – we were fluent in the
first half but we looked jaded
physically after the break.
Once again we showed that we can dig
deep and fight when we are under
pressure. Ultimately, it was a good
end to a very positive week because
we won in Sunderland and Marseille
as well.
When you play against Stoke you don’t
expect to score three goals from set-
pieces and that was the biggest
surprise to me on Sunday.
It shows how important the delivery is
and Mesut Ozil can provide that. When
you look at his numbers, the assists
are not a coincidence, it’s just the
reality of his game. I believe that once
he is completely integrated we’ll see
even more from him.
Mesut’s excellent start to his Arsenal
career demonstrates that football is
football, wherever you play. When you
have the ball, you make a good pass
or a bad pass. The good players make
a good pass and the bad players make
a bad pass. Is it in Spain or England?
It doesn’t matter.
Mesut gave a lift to everybody at the
Club but, as for whether we can
challenge for honours, that will come
down to the quality of our teamwork
and our play. We are playing well at
the moment so let’s keep doing that.
We have a Capital One Cup game at
West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday
and I will rotate the team, of course.
Nicklas Bendtner has a chance to be
involved but Jack Wilshere will not
play. Normally I would have rested him
on Sunday and I decided to take him
off because he was a bit exhausted
towards the end.
Rotating the squad is important
because we play again on Saturday
and after that we have a massive
home game in the Champions League.
We will need everyone to play their
part.
